The Season 3 Handy-Dandy Guide

It's Christmas 1993. Nickelodeon airs the Christmas episode of Roundhousefirst (out of production order) and we meet new cast additions Jennifer Cihi, Amy Ehrlich and Shawn Muñoz. The Christmas episode features all three new cast members, however the next two episodes to air, do not have Amy Ehrlich. It was explained later that Amy was not yet hired when the show went into production on those first two episodes, and the reason that Jennifer Cihi was credited differently was because Nickelodeon was not sure Jennifer would remain with the cast for the whole season. When it was established that she worked out, they kept her. Jennifer sings the theme song - taking over for Lisa Vale who does not appear in any episodes in season 3. Dominic Lucero appears in sketches in two episodes this season, and is in the audience for one additional one. His name remains in the credits for the entire run of the show. While David Sidoni's character "Dumb Kid" had appeared on Roundhouse in the former seasons, this is the year when he is really solidified as a character, and in the latter half of the season "Dumb Kid" shows up in practically every episode.

The order these episodes have been placed in is based on airing order and educated guess.

The school talent show rolls around and it is time for Kevin to prove he comes from talented lineage. But does he have a talent of his own?

notes: The dancing stand-in for John at the end is actually David Sidoni dressed in an identical outfit. This episode contains the one line I was always shocked they aired on kids TV: "If you can't get the girl, you can always play your own instrument."

308 Intolerance

(Ivan, Amy)
Directed by: Rita Sheffield
Songs: "Language of Love"

In clever Roundhouse fashion, issues such as racism and cultural intolerance are addressed metaphorically - using a silly situation of intolerance to show us how really ridiculous and trite any kind of prejudice is. Brian struggles with his feelings for a girl whose belly button is an "innie" even though he is an "outie."

notes: Ivan Dudynsky choreographed this episode. Dominic Lucero is in the audience.

Directed by: Bruce Gowers
Songs: "I'm Coming Home"

In a clever "Wizard of Oz" parody, Dorothy runs away from home to be the next Shannen Doherty.

notes: The 1st half of this episode is in black and white. There are cute references to the bands Toto and Kansas. This episode marks the second time this season that Amy says the line, "It's so big it scares me." (I find that odd.) Stage Manager, Sandy Prudden has lines in this episode.

315 Lies

(Ivan, Mark, Seymour, Muñoz, Micki, Sid)
